The project made at ECAL under the guidance of Tomas Alonso & Bethan Laura Wood. The chair is about celebrating the material rattan, and the craft of weaving rattan. The chair can easily be disassembled, in order to make the shipping process cheaper. The chair consists of four parts. Two sides bend in ø 32 mm aluminium tubes, and two modules made from aluminium. The rattan is carefully weaved around the modules. The weaving process was done in Denmark, at Endelave, together with a local craftsman. The tubes are also bended in Denmark. The chair is low weight, due to the materials. The rattan can be used both in and out door. The language of the chair can be developed into a family of furniture, fx. a ottoman, dinning chair, barstool. When the chair is disassembled it fits into a box sized 28 x 70 x 70 cm.
